Waterstock House Training Centre was once home to the great Lars Sederholm, and has established itself as a well known equestrian training centre.
Arabella Whelan moved to Waterstock House Training Centre in August 2009, from Lower Haddon Farm in Bampton, west Oxfordshire.
Arabella has owned and competed her own horses for more than 25 years and the last 10 years focused on purely dressage. She is currently competing at Novice and Elementary levels with her super young horse Belladonna Hit (Sandro Hit/Donnerhall/Akzent II), winning the Winter 2010 Midlands Regional Championships at Addington in the Novice Open class and more recently winning the Summer 2010 Midlands Regional Championships. Arabella bought and produced Bella from a foal imported direct from her breeder in Belgium. She is also producing her own home bred Rosso (by Rosario) as well as her recently purchased 3 year old gelding from the Elite auction in Westfalia, Germany called Future Trend (Florestan/Pilot lines).
Arabella currently trains with Henriette Andersen, and in the past a tremendous amount of help from Nicky Barrett and Holger Munstermann.
Arabella worked with horses before starting her professional career in IT. She was a yard manager producing young breeding stallions for performance testing, and commencing their showjumping careers and also previously worked for Kerry Packer (Ellerston) polo team in Hampshire and for top dressage trainer David Hunt in Surrey whilst studying business studies! She then went on to start a career in technology project management for companies such as Microsoft, T-Mobile and Vodafone.
Arabella's partner Stuart Bevan works in the building trade and they have a 2 year old daughter Alessia and Arabella is now 18 weeks pregnant. |
